Our Mission

We farm. Growers of specialist crops for foodservice and innovators, we have always worked with nature, creating our own reserves and enhancing habitats. Having released our most productive land to other farmers, the remaining land is being transformed.

We are returning land to nature, linking existing woodlands and reserves to new habitats, restoring biodiversity and storing carbon. As these habitats mature we are investing in new land, well suited to implementing extensive, traditional food production alongside habitat restoration and woodland creation.

Nature based farming producing food, Biodiversity Net Gain units, Woodland Carbon and timber.

Goal One

Land previously intensively cropped with vegetables was put down to wheat, lowering fertility ready for wildflower meadow establishment. Following baseline biodiversity mapping we have developed our Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan with habitat creation well underway in May 2024

Our first BNG sale has been agreed and we are will complete our final habitat here at Brook Farm this winter.

Goal Two

We’re ahead of schedule! The BNG at Brook Farm is almost ready to market. Please contact us now if you are interested in the units - Tendring District LPA and NCA 111.

Goal Three

Our network is growing and we are working across BNG projects across Essex and Suffolk. Click on the ‘Our Projects’ tab to learn more.

The Land Use Debate.

We get it. We need to produce food and we need to restore biodiversity and store carbon. Too often this is posed as a binary question. We believe we can do both, by farming smarter and blending ancient wisdom with science and tech.
